He is survived by sons Ronald and Andrew and daughter Jill Bradshaw. Jay was predeceased by his wife Laura Sue (2009), brothers, Bob and Gerry and sister, Mary Jane. He was a member of GE Elfun Society, GE Quarter Century Club, and the Edison Club. For several more years, after retiring in 1993, Jay continued as a GE Consultant in California and Leeds, England. During his career he held a number of financial positions, including, but, not limited to Manager-Financial Services Operation Accounting Operations reporting to GE Corporate, serving Power Systems and Corporate Accounting Activities in Schenectady, NY. He began working at GE in 1957 for GE Major Appliances, GE Credit, and then the GE Business Training Program and Corporate Audit Staff. He was one of four children to the late Russell and Frieda McCarty.Īfter attending public schools in Indianapolis, IN, Jay graduated Indiana University.
